This review discusses vitamin K with particular emphasis on MK-7. There are many homologs of vitamin K each with distinct bioactivities. In general vitamin K has many beneficial effects to note but not limited to this list; preventing bone fractures, reducing cardiovascular disease by inhibiting ectopic calcification, liver disease, maintain normal blood coagulation, anti-inflammatory effects due to its antioxidant properties and supporting immune disorders.
