In this randomized, double blind, placebo control trial the effects of high dose MK-7 (180 µg MenaQ7/day) supplementation on arterial stiffness was investigated. 244 healthy postmenopausal women were selected to participate in this clinical trial. Participants were randomly selected to receive placebo or MK-4 (180 µg MenaQ7/day) for 3 years. Study concluded, long term high dose supplementation of MK-7 improves arterial stiffness and elastic properties of carotid arteries in healthy postmenopausal women.
