This open label, single group allocation study from 2012, included 21 subjects with mild to moderate osteoarthritis. Over eight weeks, subjects were given 3,000 mg/day of GLM extract. After 8 weeks subjects were assessed based on range of motion tests, the WOMAC score, and gastrointestinal scales compared with baseline. Green-lipped mussel significantly improved knee joint pain, stiffness and mobility by 49% in OA patients.
