This 2020 follow up RCT study from Pirola et al. assessed thyroid function in 50 patients with subclinical hypothyroidism due to Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Subjects receiving 83 mch of selenomethionine daily were assessed for TSH levels, TPO Ab over four months. Results showed a normalization of serum TSH levels in 50% of subjects which was maintained at 6-month check-in.
