In a meta-analysis of cardiac patients, 19 randomized trials compared the cardiovascular effects of 1.0 to 2.7g daily of magnesium orotate compared to placebo. Significant effects of magnesium orotate include decreased risk of exercise intolerance, headaches, dizziness and cardiac arrhythmias
