Low levels of magnesium have been associated with a number of chronic diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, insulin resistance, type-2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cardiovascular disease (e.g., stroke), migraine headaches and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
