This study from 2010 examined the impact of magnesium and vitamin B6 in young women suffering from premenstrual syndrome. This randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled clinical trial included women with confirmed PMS. The women were 15-45 years old. Symptoms improved more prominently in the combination group (Mg and vitamin B6) than the magnesium group alone and was above the placebo. Researchers concluded “the combination of Mg and vitamin B6 is an effective and affordable treatment in PMS.”
