From 2017 this meta analysis included nine trials involving 428 subjects assessing the effects of CoQ10 on serum levels of inflammatory markers in people with metabolic diseases. Pooled data found CoQ10 supplementation significantly improved the serum level of CoQ10 and decreased inflammatory marker TNF-α. However, there was variability in the impact on CRP.
