From 2004 this pharmacokinetic study examined Fe absorption of micronized, dispersible ferric pyrophosphate with that of ferrous sulfate in an infant cereal and a yogurt drink. While absorption was not different between the two forms, the bioavailability of SunActive was high indicating it may be better for iron fortification.
