Zinc carnosine (ZnC) combines the health benefits of zinc with l-carnosine. It has been shown to promote the healing of the stomach lining in gastrointestinal disorders. It helps maintain bowel integrity and stimulates gut repair after damage to the intestinal system has occurred.
Chelated zinc carnosine has been shown to stay concentrated in the stomach twice as long as zinc and l-carnosine taken separately, which increases its healing properties. It has long been known that zinc is essential for the human body in physiological processes such as wound healing, immune function and hormonal regulation. However, novel research has examined the role of zinc combined with the amino acids’ beta-alanine and histidine for its gastroprotective capabilities and potential as a gastric ulcer treatment therapy.
