INNOVATING FOR 25 YEARS By: D r. NavNirat Nibber ND

Landmarks such as a 25th year anniversary sometimes creep up on you; this provides us with an excellent opportunity to reflect on who we are as a company, goals we have accomplished, and plans for the future. AOR has been in my life for as long as I can remember – I have seen it evolve, just as I evolved. In this issue I was lucky enough to gain a new perspective, and some insight into the heart of this company, as I had the opportunity to interview our founder and chief scientific officer, Dr. Traj Nibber.

During our discussion it really struck me how incredible it is to see how AOR has grown from a cottage industry, where family members gathered to mix powders in a garage, to the completion of our beautiful medical grade facility in Calgary with 100 amazing employees. The people behind the business have been a consistent presence, and have truly shaped this company.

AOR was founded on the basis of innovation with the mandate of delivering original, effective and advanced natural healthcare solutions to people. Innovation is much more than simply creating something new – it’s an approach.

To be truly innovative requires looking at old problems with new eyes, seeking new knowledge to improve a process, developing creative solutions to problems, creating space to imagine the possibilities, and always moving forward. This attitude has woven itself into the fabric of AOR, from how and where we source our raw materials, to processes such as shipping and order placement through customer service.

With innovation being at the soul of our company, we thought, “what better way to recognize this than a dedicated Advances magazine focused on some of the best and brightest innovations at AOR in the last 25 years.” In this issue we highlight advances in delivery systems for nutraceuticals such as vegan softgels; the rediscovery of ancient healing practices such as Ayurveda; and new approaches to pain management, gut health, and complex, multifactorial health concerns such as metabolic syndrome. Each of these topics demonstrates our innovative approach to ever pushing the natural health product market forward by challenging convention and exploring the infinite possibilities. Here’s to 25 more years!
